Jones Scones were created because J. Jones grew tired of scones that tasted like compressed sand. After living in London England and Edinburgh, Scotland, he returned to the United States with a longing for scones that no one could seem to satisfy. Out of sheer desperation, he created the scones he desired. He made them, above all, MOIST, and more cakey than flaky, with currants, cranberries, blueberries, cinnamon, or chocolate nestled inside a mouthwateringly attractive crust.

Jones Scones started as a company after the scones were a hit with J.’s friends and coffee shops in Denver, CO. The plan was, and remains, to spread the word about scones to the uninitiated and scone-scarred: those people who have suffered through a dry lump of baked dough masquerading as a scone.
